For the longest time, I've always thought Liquid Gold is a facial mist because of its packaging. Turns out, it actually has the consistency of a toner and it feels like SK-II's Treatment Essence. With just 4-5 drops on your palm, gently pat it into your face. I like that it is fast absorbing and 4-5 drops are more than enough for it to work its magic.

Balancing Cleanser

Soothe, calm and balance - Alpha-H's Balancing Cleanser is a 3-in-1 cleanser that completely removes all traces of face and eye makeup, corrects your skin's pH balance and repairs your skin by neutralising free radicals (Vitamin E). This is ideal for all skin types and for both day and night.

A decent cleanser that leaves my skin with a soothing feeling right after the wash thanks to the presences of Aloe Vera. As it has a cream based texture, you'll probably need to use a little more than usual to cover your entire face.

Micro Cleanser Super Scrub

If you're experiencing skin congestion, blackheads and other blemishes, you've got to try Alpha-H's Micro Cleanser Super Scrub. A combination of AHA Glycolic Acid, eco-friendly Jojoba Beads and Caffeine, clearing built-up and removing dead skin cells is now a 2-minute job. Absolutely loving the Micro Cleanser Super Scrub! A little goes a long way, gently rub it in circular motion all over your face. Note that the tiny exfoliator beads can be quite harsh and painful if you exert too much force so do keep it minimal. Upon washing off, my skin feels squeaky clean void of all dead skin and visible sebum grime. Would highly recommend this to anyone who needs a good deep scrub!

Daily Essential Moisturiser SPF 50+ (30ml)

More is more! Daily moisturiser, age block, wrinkle preventer, collagen saver - they all refers to the one and only Alpha-H's Daily Essential Moisturiser! Suitable as a makeup base, this fast absorbing moisturiser is also light weight and low irritant making it an ideal choice for daily use.

Verdict 3/5:

As someone with a combination skin that gets oilier as the day goes by, I absolutely dislike using moisturisers that leaves my skin sticky and tacky. With that said, I am pretty impressed by this moisturiser as it is indeed one of the most lightweight moisturisers that comes with SPF. However, I'm not a fan of the slightly sticky feeling that stays on upon application. A work around I've tried is to apply Origins' Original Skin™ Matte Moisturizer with Willowherb as an extra layer to mattefy and seal the oil on the surface of my skin. The way I get maximum protection from the sun AND I get to stay matte & fresh!

Essential Hydration Cream (30ml)

Of unique blend of the finest essential oils, bio-active sea minerals and essential fatty acids, this aromatic, soothing cream isn't just all about smell! Packed with tons of skin loving ingredients, it seeks to sooth dry and irritated skins, protects your skin against oxidative damage (Vitamin E), prevents moisture loss and boosts collagen production (Evening Primrose Oil).

I've layered on Essential Hydration Cream after patting on Liquid Gold on my face. What I really like about it is the faint scent of soothing rose geranium essential oil, making it perfect to apply right before bed. Consistency wise, this cream is pretty matte so you'll definitely have no worries about leaving any oily residue on your pillow sheets.

I've always wanted to try out Alpha-H products but had no idea which product to start from. This set came just right in time and I'm able to put these 5 Alpha-H must-haves to trial before committing to their full sized ones. We all know that Alpha-H products can be quite costly. Not only is this value set worth every penny, you'll be able to get the most out of it (and with tons to spare) even for a 3-4 week long vacation thanks to its generous 30ml size.
