Sometimes pain and euphoria are the very same thing. You feel like you're in paradise but it's also a war zone. You love it yet you hate it. "Sometimes, it's not love. Sometimes, it's just infatuation, an addiction. You keep going back to it because you want to feel what it used to make you feel. And there you go falling into the same habit... same trap... all over again. Stop."
It makes you feel like you're on the top of the world yet it also makes you feel your absolute worst. You get high in its presence yet the moment you're alone, unpleasant pain from withdrawal attacks you all over. It brings you up, makes you feel like no one else yet it also brings you down, making you feel like you're absolutely worthless. You derive so much thrill and pleasure from it yet it brings about misery and despair beyond your limits. It's all you ever think about in its absence. It's all you ever think about in its presence. It's a paradise. It's a warzone.
Write your pain down. Read it. Read it over and over again. Don't ever forget the anguish and torment it brought you. We humans, are so quick to forget about the pain and dive right back in because we crave for intimacy and euphoria. But it's time to put an end to it and let it go. Just so you know, you deserve better. We deserve better.

Wendy
