A self-interview article on being a quarter century old.

Q: How you do feel about hittin' the two five?

A: Truthfully, it doesn't feel at all that different moving on to my mid twenties. Before, I would've definitely been upset at the thought of becoming older but now, I think with age comes wisdom and experiences and I'm not going to shy away from it.

Q: If you could use one word to sum up 2019, what would it be?

A: Grateful. I've seen so many rise and falls this year with heartbreaking moments that are repaid in equal amounts of happiness and bliss. Every time a door closes, another one opens up into a better path that I never thought existed. I cannot be more grateful for these moments.

Q: What would you like to achieve before you hit two six?

A: There's quite a handful of things I'd like to dabble in like photography, writing and furthering a few languages I've always been interested in but most importantly, I think I'd like to spread positivity in my own way through my words and creativity.

Q: What changed since a year ago?

A: I learnt the importance of fully soaking up the present and live without regrets. Enjoy it while the ride lasts because this ride might just close tomorrow and it's going to be okay. I also learnt that things can co-exist if I let them and that I don't have to choose one over another. It doesn't make me less of a X just because I enjoy Y.

Q: A note to your future self:

A: To the future me in Oct 2020, I hope you've accumulated a lot more wealth not only financially, but physically, mentally and emotionally. What fun is life if you hog it all to yourself? Self love is important but remember to share it with everyone else too. Life isn't always about solidarity, it's a team sport. See good, do good.
