I've had this as my tagline & description for quite some time now and I always go back to it eventually someway, somehow. It came from k8's song titled 宇宙に行ったライオン or, The Lion that Went to the Galaxy. It tells a tale of this lion who broke out of its circus cages, defied its trainer and circus clowns and ran away in hopes of pursuing the greater green. It has so many firsts - seeing the world for the first time, seeing how the world collides with his universe, knowing things that he never knew which led to its ultimate realisation that he's so much more than just a circus lion. The tale follows as the lion walked down a street filled with fumes where he met this teen who got on its back and went on exploring the world together. The lion experienced many more firsts - making a comrade for the first time and having someone to confine in and confess to for the first time. But before it knew it, it has traveled a full round around the world and finds itself back at the circus. "Is the world just like this? Have I seen it all?" It questioned. The teen responded by saying that there's more, so much more in a far away place called the galaxy. They could go to a far away place where there's no end to the clouds, where it's deeper than hearts, far far away. Like the wind is the wind, for the sake of being themselves, for the sake of their pride, for when they threw away their pride, for their self-worth, they're out to break all limits no matter how far, no matter what ends, no matter what depths it takes them. The lion shakes its mane and roars.

The thing is, not everyone is brave enough to be that lion. Sure, you get yo ass whipped, your training's tough and you lose your freedom but you have a shelter over your head and regular meals every single day. How many of you would throw this away for the great unknown? For those who do though, it'll be such an incredible journey. It's going to be tough, it's going to be the worst thing you've ever done, the worst path you've sent foot upon. It will definitely leave you all wounded and scratched up, all broken and pained but the kind of enrichment, fulfillment and enlightenment is something that is beyond anything you'll ever feel. It's also going to be the best thing you've ever done, the greatest path you've ever set foot upon. You're probably going to regret it, you're probably going to falter in despair but you're also probably going to to feel what being on the top of the world is like, what unleashing and letting your potential shine feel like.
I'm forever thankful for the existence of this song and to the men who made this masterpiece. Especially Subaru kun who embodies it and teaches me time and time again that we're unlimited. It warms my heart a little knowing that we're on parallel paths, searching for our very own versions and interpretations of galaxy. We'll never know if we'd ever find it or if we'll ever cross paths but as long as we're moving along, doing what we can, we'll reach there one way or another. Maybe not today, not tomorrow, but definitely one day. And on the days when I feel like I'll never find my galaxy, I'll bob to this track to remind myself that Subaru kun and k8 are on their search as well and that I'm never alone.
xoxo,
Wendy
